Great Deal on Composite Deck Boards

Southeastern Salvage has some great deals on composite deck boards right now. They have about eight different colors to choose from and their price is about 1/3 or normal retail. I know this is still double the cost of traditional pressure treated 5/4 boards but if you are about to build, these will pay for themselves in durability (and no staining/sealing). Most everything else there is crap but these are a good deal.

Reminder! Open Houses Today 2-4pm

OPEN HOUSE EXTRAVAGANZA Sunday March 6th from 2 til 4pm It's been a while since we have gotten out and done a big open house weekend. But now the weather is warming, the flowers are blooming...and we are celebrating spring by hosting THREE houses open this Sunday for you to investigate, explore and critique. We also have some exciting Upcoming Projects I would love to tell you all about.

715 South 11th Street Rachel (my wife) will be at this picture perfect starter cottage. Offered for just $99,900. This is a sweet deal in a desirable location just steps from 5-Points. Please stop by to talk with her about this or other projects we have upcoming that will be similar in price. Maybe if you are lucky she will even brings some cookies or something ;)

1113 Leland Avenue I'll be at this classic historic home. Even if you aren't in the market to buy, feel free to stop by just to check out the coolness of a 100 year old house that still has the majority of it's period charm remaining. And of course I always love to meet my potential buyers and share our upcoming projects too. Or I am happy to dispense free (sometimes unsolicited) advice about your own personal renovation project. Oh yea, priced at $179,900....and I'll be in a deal makin' mood.

2624 Morganmeade Drive My rental property manager, Michelle, will be here. We just LOWERED THE PRICE BY $10,000 on this one and based on the showings, I think we hit the sweet spot. At $139,900 this is far and away the best deal for a renovated home in Inglewood. Also, this home was hit in the May 2010 Flood...obviously we totally renovated it to better than new. It's worth a peek if you are looking to purchase a property with major upside. The neighborhood is roaring back with a vengeance so this house a unique opportunity to "buy low" and build equity. This house is walking distance to Shelby Bottoms Green and is just a great neighborhood to call home.

We'll Be Waiting For You! So please feel free to stop by if even just to chat. We love sharing our passion with renovating old homes and welcome comments and feedback. Hope to see you out on Sunday!

Finishing What Someone Else Started

P13

It is always hard to take over a project mid way through. Such is the case with 1008 Curdwood. I bought this house out of foreclosure from a bank and it was framed up but that's about it. She's a grand 3100 square feet with all the bells and whistles but I need to give her my signature touches. The thing with going behind someone else is that no one does things the same as you. Or my electrician. Or my plumber. So consequently we end up redoing a lot of work in order to make it right. This has been a challenging project since I typically don't take on houses this large. But the end product will be worth it. As you can see by the picture, things are starting to take shape.
