Caulk It!

This is a great weekend to get outside and check the seals on your doors and windows. Most windows need to be caulked every couple years and a $2.00 tube will save you from thousands of $$'s in concealed water damage down the road. A quick visual inspection and recaulk where necessary will take only a few hours so it is well worth your time.

One piece of advice if you do caulk this weekend. Do not just spread more caulk over the top of the old. To do it right you
must scrap out the old and redo it properly. If you just goop it over the top then it will not last or work properly and you are just setting yourself up for a huge headache in future years.

Have fun!

Make Way For a New House

P152

Here is a quick pick of the house we tore down Friday. Sometimes they can't be saved. This rental had been used up and then 3 trees fell on it during the spring storms. So we are going build a nice, efficient 2/2 back in place. This home is Lynn Taylor designed and will be loaded with little upgrades and unique features. If you are interest in this 37206 home, it will be priced at $125k and that makes it the best new construction value in East Nashville, bar none.

Obama Wants to become a Landlord?

So the federal government is considering buying up foreclosures and renting them? Why, because they have such a solid track record of trying to delve into private sector
Business? Maybe they should buy up All the Pizza Huts restaurants too since they are struggling to complete against Papa Johns and other business that sell a better product. That way they can just undercut their prices and sell at a loss, but all for the greater good of the country. Come on....Obama has no business even considering this. Leave real estate investing to the people who do it for living!
